This painting is a homage to the seven executed leaders of the 1916 Rising who signed the Proclamation. The lily, a symbol of hope and life is used to commemorate each young man who died in their fight for an independent Ireland.

This interview will mark Nuala’s first TV interview after many years of print media interviews, since she represented Ireland at the Miss International Beauty Pageant in Okinawa, Japan. The interview will focus mainly on Nuala’s life pursuing her early ambition to go to college, becoming fluent in the Irish language and subsequent career as a secondary school teacher and voluntary Irish language radio broadcaster. Other areas will focus on Nuala’s earlier career as a model, actress and former Miss Ireland, as well as her ongoing work as an artist and her ongoing academic studies, which currently include learning Chinese language and culture.

Nuala Holloway’s Oil Painting “Dalkey Island from Killiney Hill” is now on exhibit at Bait @TheCornerNote in Dalkey, Co. Dublin. This work was previously on exhibit in Dalkey during the Dalkey Book Festival along with “Dawn Skies Over Dalkey Island” at No.2 Railway Road. The Oil on Canvas painting depicts a Summer’s day view overlooking Dalkey Island and Sorento Terrace from atop Killiney Hill on the East coast of Co. Dublin.

Literary Portrait Exhibition

On Friday 13 December 2013 at The Corner Note Café in Dalkey, Co. Dublin, Nuala will be unveiling her new collection of paintings, this time focusing on the subject of portraiture with an emphasis on the theme of literature. The collection is made up of Irish writers, all of which have a local significance to Dalkey and the surrounding areas of Dublin. The exhibition is being held in aid of Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice, with other paintings from Nuala’s collection on exhibit, along with a prize raffle with proceeds going to the charity. The exhibition will be launched by artist and writer Don Conroy.

“Elvis and Ireland” cover painted by Nuala Holloway

Elvis and Ireland is a new music biography by Ivor Casey, which looks at the story of Elvis Presley and his influence and connections with Ireland. It explores the career of the legend while simultaneously documenting the evolution of rock and pop culture in Ireland. The book includes various drawings of Elvis Presley by artists Don Conroy, Jakki Moore and Nuala Holloway, who has also painted the oil painting used on the cover. The painting is titled “Elvis ’58”.

Nuala Holloway recently received a personal letter of gratitude from U.S. President Barack Obama for her gift of her oil painting “Famine Ship – Jeanie Johnston”, which he received on his first official State visit to Ireland in 2011.

“Moments”, the upcoming art exhibition by Nuala Holloway and Jakki Moore will be opened on 2nd December 2011 at the Sol Art Gallery, Dawson St, Dublin City (across from Hodges Figgis). It will be opened by Hollywood film director and animator Jimmy T. Murakami, famous for the production of such works as “The Snowman” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”.


Nuala Holloway is currently preparing an exhibition in conjunction with artist Jakki Moore to take place at the Sol Art Gallery, on Dawson Sreet in Dublin City in December 2011


Several paintings by Nuala Holloway are currently on exhibit at the Bad Art Gallery on Francis Street in Dublin, as part of the ‘Bad Art gallery’ Christmas exhibition 2010.


Nuala will be exhibiting some of her paintings at the Bad Art Gallery on Francis St, Dublin from May 15th, 2009. The exhibition will be opned by Former Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern.


“The Magical World of Maritime” had a successful opening on November 14th. It was opened by author, artist and broadcaster Don Conroy. The co-art exhibition between Nuala Holloway and Jakki Moore runs until December 6th at Beyond Harmony, 10/11 Marine Tce., Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. The Sunday Independent, The Westmeath Independent and The Dun Laoghaire Gazette have covered the event


“The Magical World of Maritime” – Opening November 14th. Nuala is currently preparing a joint exhibition with artist Jakki Moore to be held at the Beyond Wellness Centre at 10/11 Marine Terrace, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.

“Reflections”, the latest solo art exhibition by Nuala Holloway proved to be a great success recently at Airfield House. Various newspapers such as The Sunday Independent, The Westmeath Independent, The Athlone Voice and The Dun Laoghaire Gazatte covered the event, which included many guests from the entertainment world. In his speech on opening the exhibition, Senator Eogahn Harris referred to Nuala “as the Nigella Lawson of Irish art” drawing on the energy and sexiness in her work and also noted her ability to draw which he finds very important in an artist


Nuala will be launching a private viewing of her first Dublin solo art exhibition on December 12th at Airfield House, Dundrum. The exhibition will be opened by Senator Eoghan Harris, writer and broadcaster


Nuala is currently preparing for her first solo Dublin art exhibition. The exhibition, titled “Reflections” will be held at the exclusive venue of Airfield House in Dundrum, Co. Dublin in December, 2007


Nuala Holloway’s first solo art exhibition is launched at Tuar Ard Arts Centre, Moate, Co. Westmeath. The exhibition, titled, “Inspirations” was opened on September 15th, 2006 by artist, writer and TV presenter Don Conroy and Moate’s local historian, Vera Hughes.


The “Poetry and Painting” exhibition, opened on August 16th, 2006 in St. Francis Private Hospital, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. The work includes the poetry of Mullingar historian, Leo Daly and the paintings of Westmeath’s Nuala Holloway
